As a kids and teens teacher, you will teach students ages 3 to 16. Your students are an enthusiastic, fun-loving bunch, full of energy, and ready to learn.

Not only will you get to have fun with your students, you will also get to know them and watch them learn and grow. Your students will vary in language ability and personality.

Job responsibilities

You don’t need prior teaching experience to teach kids with English 1. You just need to be willing to learn and we’ll help with the rest. This is what your main tasks will be:

  • Teaching kids aged 3 – 16 in groups of up to 10 for ages 3-6 and 16 for ages 7 and up.

  • Planning and delivering lessons to children

  • Using electronic media and English 1-developed courseware to teach efficiently and effectively

  • Evaluating student progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement to both students and their parents

  • Assigning and evaluating out-of-class and exercises

  • Participating in social activities with students organized by your school

Requirements

Don’t have any teaching experience? You don’t need any. We warmly welcome first-time teachers, alongside our many experienced educators, and provide all the training and resources needed to support you every step of the way and help you start strong. You will, however, need the following for the Chinese Government to issue you a teaching work visa. Don’t have these documents at hand? You can apply and provide them later.

A bachelor’s degree
