And when it comes to life outside of work, most cities in China have English road signs and English metro station names. Restaurants mostly have menus written in English, and if not, they generally have pictures. Learning some basic survival Chinese when you arrive, such as addresses for taxis, is recommended, although it is just to make things a little easier. Nowadays, you can do most of your daily tasks using translation apps in English!
